Joshua Paterson is a 22-year old local student-athlete on the men's varsity soccer team at Brock University. He is currently going into his fourth year as a student in the Bacelor of Arts - Communications program.
Joshua was born in Adelaide, South Australia and started his development in the Ian Rush Soccer School before moving at age 8 to Niagara Falls, Canada. His father, Samuel, was a big influence in his life that guided him to be the player and man he is today. Joshua has numerous years playing soccer for the Niagara Falls Titans Soccer Club in the Elite Division - South Region Soccer League. He has now played two seasons with the Brock Badgers as one of their starting centre-backs.
In high school, Joshua was a three-time athlete of the year at A.N. Myer Secondary School as a member of the soccer, basketball, volleyball, and football teams. The Marauder football team that achieved back-to-back OFSAA while he was a member of the squad.
He suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury in April of 2018 and had the surgical procedure in November of that same year. We are on track to have him back and ready for another Brock Badger playoff run this coming season.
